A Bevy of Bizarre Movie Plots
Damien Novy
“Fido” 2006. In most towns, families have pet dogs and cats, but in this town, they have pet zombies!
“Evil Bong” 2006. This film is about Ebee, an enormous, living bong that lures people to it with the promise of drugs, only to steal their souls (honestly, I’m not making this up).
“Poultrygeist” 2006. When a restaurant specializing in serving chicken is built on an old Indian burial ground, the souls of the departed possess the chickens to seek revenge (obviously, this film must be a favorite of the beef lobby).
“Donnie Darko” 2001. A young boy and a giant rabbit conspire to wreak havoc in a small town.
“Teeth” 2007. A teenage girl with vaginal dentate gives the boys much more than they bargained for, giving new meaning to taking a “bite” out of crime.
“Bubba Ho-Tep” 2002. An elderly Elvis impersonator and an African-American JFK look-alike square off against an evil Mummy.
"Jack Frost” 1996. A snowman is possessed by a serial killer to seek revenge on a small town and its unsuspecting sheriff.
“Being John Malkovich” 1999. Actor John Cusack discovers a door that leads into the head of John Malkovich (although why anyone would want to venture there is beyond me!).
“Killer Clowns from Outer Space” 1988. Aliens dressed as clowns terrorize the inhabitants of a small town, which helps to explain why circuses aren’t as popular as they used to be.
