Double, The (New to DVD)
Imagine Entertainment; 2011; 93 minutes; PG-13, for violence and language; Directed by Michael Brandt; Starring: Richard Gere, Topher Grace, Martin Sheen, Tamer Hassan, Stephen Moyer, Chris Marquette and Odette Yustman; Screenwriter(s): Michael Brandt and Derek Haas
Double agents, triple agents, sleeper agents; freshman director and co-screenwriter Michael Brandt’s The Double has a sufficiently serpentine story and some A-list actors to its credit, but the film suffers from unsteady directing, a jagged pace and less than inspired performances from stars Richard Gere, Topher Grace and Martin Sheen.
